Who is Mrs. Buhrmann?
My name is Kim Buhrmann, and I am an English teacher at Atwater High School. The 2015-2016 school year will commence my eighth year of teaching at AHS. I have taught English I PreAP, English II, Strategic English I, Strategic English III/IV and am currently teaching English II PreAP and English II. I received my Bachelor's Degree in English from Azuza Pacific University with a minor in Biblical Studies. I then returned home and completed my California teaching Credential at CSU Stanislaus. I am married to a wonderfully supportive and wonderfully quirky man (of whom you will hear many stories about), and I have an amazing son (of whom you will more stories about than you probably care to hear). My husband and I are currently expecting our second baby, and I will be on maternity leave for the first quarter of the school year. I LOVE teaching English, and if you are coming to my class devoid of any passion for reading and writing, I hope you will leave with at least a small sense of appreciation for the joys of reading, writing and speaking! I am eagerly anticipating embarking on an educational journey with each one of my students this year.
